The Golden Gate Bridge—Fisherman’s Wharf—cable cars—Chinatown—Alamo Square’s Painted Ladies—world-class cuisine—fabulous shopping. This is San Francisco, “Everybody’s Favorite City”. And this is the setting for Riemer Week 2010.

Our 26th event will be held at the JW Marriott Union Square, located in the city’s center for shopping, restaurants, and theatre. Although this beautiful property carries a AAA Four Diamond Rating, you won’t pay a four-diamond price.

Getting There

The JW Marriott is within 20 miles of two airports, providing many choices in airlines.

San Francisco International Airport is 14 miles away. Shuttle service via Super Shuttle is $17 one-way with an advance reservation. Estimated taxi fare is $40.

A second option, Oakland International Airport, is 20 miles from the JW Marriott. Super Shuttle service is available for $27 with an advance registration, and taxi fare is about $60.

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)

There’s no need to deal with the cost of a taxi or the hassles of a shuttle. By far the best option for transportation between the airports and the JW Marriott is BART. The Powell Street Station is only 4 blocks away from the hotel.

There is a BART station in the International Terminal at SFO. A round-trip ticket between San Francisco Airport and the Powell Street Station is $16.20.

AirBART shuttle travels between Oakland and the Coliseum/Oakland Airport station. A convenient BART travel pack is available for Oakland, which includes two AirBART tickets and round-trip fare to the Powell Street Station.

BART tickets are reloadable, so if you plan on doing some sight-seeing you can easily add fare to your ticket at one of the many dispensing machines along the BART lines. Tickets are also available for purchase online.
