Payment Experience Report

The keystone of any credit interchange is the report; the Riemer Payment Experience Report (PER) quickly became the industry standard and remains so to this day. It is the compilation of payment experience collected from members and is published at the end of a credit cycle. If there is a meeting, the PER is used as the basis for discussion. It is available several different formats:

The first page of each report is the Summary Page. It lists all account information in the top, right-hand corner. Those members requesting the account are listed underneath this information, along with any reason for discussion.

Top 10 Members By Total Dollars Owing

The Top 10 Chart includes the individual lines of experience from the most recent history month, regardless of association, that has the highest Total Owing figures. The lines are sorted in descending order by Total Owing.

Total Past Due as Percent of Total Owing

Monthly percentages of the total percent past due in chart form provide an excellent tool for assessing and evaluating trends. Data is graphed for the preceding 24 months, unless no data exists, in which case the particular month is left blank. Where 0% is past due, a short bar reaches up to the “0” line.

Past Due as Percent of Total Owing

A breakdown of past due percentages by aging categories shows graphically the aging trends of the past six months for which data exists.

Days Slow Weighted Average

Special computerized formula calculates totals in each category which ware weighted for each aging spread, resulting in a "Days Slow" number which reflects the total experience up to the preceding six months where data exists.

History Totals

History is based upon the experience figure date. Customers specify the date their figures are based upon when they submit their experience. This date is the basis for calculating the history. Since this date reflects the customer's data rather than the date of a cycle, the history date is independent of the association that is reporting. This has the result of making the history more accurate. The dates on the history are real dates of figure, not simply when they were received or what cycle they fell into.

Payment Experience

Experience from other associations is listed after the clearing association. These lines are divided into Figure Date Month sections. The most recent Figure Date Month sections are placed first regardless of association. Each Figure Date Month section is sorted by member number.
