Riemer Preference Defense Service
What a relief?
At last you receive a payment on a past due account. The money is in the bank and everybody's happy…
Ooops
…until you find out they just filed for bankruptcy. And, to make matters worse, you receive a letter from the trustee requesting that you send back all the money you received in the past 90 days.
Options
Now what do you do? Well, you could send them what they want, or you could fight it.
Do NOT send money!
First, do not send money. Regardless of what the trustee claims, not all payments received prior to bankruptcy are considered preference payments. And effective, low-cost defenses are now available to help.
But don’t fight alone
Therefore, we suggest you fight it. However, don’t try to fight it yourself. Instead, let our preference defense team work for you. Riemer PDS is a service offered by Riemer Reporting Service in cooperation with the law firm of Creim, Macias & Koenig LLP.
How it works
When you receive a preference letter—or when you think one is likely—contact Riemer Reporting Service. We will run your situation through our preference defense analysis processor who will gather and analyze information and data critical to your defense. Once the information is collected and analyzed, it is sent to the law firm of Creim, Macias & Koenig LLP to evaluate your legal rights and discuss your preference position. (The CMK role is complimentary)
Costs?
If the amount in dispute is sizable, PDS costs are minimal compared to working with professionals who are not specialists in preference defense. Our introductory rate is $495 for the first four hours. This covers all but the largest or most unusual cases. Additional hours, when needed, are billed at $110 per hour. The legal review and recommendation are complimentary.
Bottom line
So don’t throw away hard earned money. Riemer PDS can help minimize the effects of bankruptcy, improve cash flow, and often save you thousands of dollars.
